Richard Harris

Richard Harris (born Richard St. John Harris October 1, 1930 – October 25, 2002) portrayed Albus Dumbledore, Headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, in the first two movie adaptations of the books.

Carrera
At the end of his career, he played in the Oscar winning film Gladiator and Unforgiven (the latter as Marcus Aurelius.
Played Albus Dumbledore in the first two Harry Potter movies. He declined the offer of the first to play Dumbledore, but his granddaughter after hearing the news that his grandfather had a very good chance to play the role that said if you go back take no part, could never talk to him again. And so, against his will, accepted the role.
In 2003, his voice is heard as the character in the animated film Opazo Kaen: The Prophecy. The film was also dedicated to him that he had died the previous year. Harry potter hagrid

Personnel Life

In 1957, he married Elizabeth Rees-Williams, daughter of David Rees-Williams, divorced in 1969, and Elizabeth married another actor Rex Harrison. Their three child are actor Jared Harris, actor Jamie Harris (born Tudor St. John Harris, but known as Jamie since childhood), and director Damian Harris (who has a son named Marlowe, born in 2002, actor Australian Peta Wilson.
